March 3 | Tokyo | David Stenbeck: Dreamscapes

David Stenbeck, Jesolo Cloud, 2019, Digital rendering on archival paper

Jenn Singer is pleased to announce the opening of David Stenbeck: Dreamscapes at SNOW Contemporary in Tokyo, Japan on Friday, March 3, 2023.

This is the first solo exhibition of Stenbeck’s work in Japan. The artist’s work will also be on view in a group show at the upcoming ART FAIR TOKYO running from Friday, March 10 through Sunday, March 12 (Booth S026).

An excerpt from the press release follows in both Japanese and English:

Born in Lund, Sweden in 1978, Stenbeck has worked as a poet, literary critic and editor. Before long, he began to create works using 3D software in order to visualize the world of poetry that he envisioned. These works are often fantastical and feel like a "dreamscape". His landscapes, including the sky, clouds, mountains, and sea, are all created using CGI (Computer Generated Imagery), giving us the illusion of blurring the boundaries between reality and unreality, and between the conscious and the unconscious.

This collaboration between SNOW Contemporary and Jenn Singer will offer collectors in Japan a first chance to view and collect David Stenbeck’s c4d digital artworks in person.
